Living In The Moment On Your Special Day

One golden piece of advice that many couples will give you on your big day, is make sure you relax and live in the moment. Living in the moment will stop you worrying about things that could go wrong. It’ll stop you fretting over things that haven’t exactly gone to plan. It’ll also mean you have a much better day, as your head isn’t somewhere else entirely! If you’re constantly worrying about something, you won’t be able to slow down and really appreciate this celebration. Sometimes, though, this is easier said than done. If you’re a natural worrier, or you’re afraid you won’t be able to live in the moment and enjoy every second on your big day, this post is for you!

Designate Somebody You Trust To Help You

It’ll be so much more bearable on your special day if you have somebody trustworthy to take care of the little things for you. This could be your best friend, mother, or anybody else you trust to take care of the finer details. They could be in charge of phone calls, and any small issues that you really shouldn’t have to worry about on a day like today!

Know Exactly Where Your Priorities Lie

Ask yourself where your priorities lie before your big day rolls around. Then, you’ll know exactly what you need to focus on when the day comes. Do you want to spend plenty of time getting ready with your bridal party? Or do you want to make sure you have a quiet moment with your other half before everything starts and gets a little hectic? Knowing exactly where your priorities lie will help you to have a better day.

Start Your Day As You Mean To Go On

Usually, we start each day and continue the same way. If you start the day by getting up late and not giving yourself enough time to relax and get ready, you’ll probably carry that rushed feeling into your wedding day, even if you’re no longer rushed. By getting up extra early, and taking your time, you can really enjoy your day. Treat yourself to a nourishing breakfast. Read a few chapters of a book. Have a nice bath. Get ready and take as long as you need. Then, spend plenty of time taking all of the pictures you want in your album, suggest Brightmoon photography. Just take it all in and make this day the best ever!

Tell Your Wedding Party You Appreciate Them

Make sure you tell your wedding party how much you appreciate them. You chose them to be next to you on your special day, so don’t be afraid to get emotional and let them know how you feel. Perhaps once you’ve finished getting ready you can all have a group hug and a pep talk. Hugs will up the happy hormones in your body too, making you feel even better about your day!

Be Sure To Eat Your Dinner

The thing with wedding days, is that they can get so hectic people forget to eat. You should eat breakfast if you can, but many people simply forget. Whatever you do, make sure you sit down and eat the dinner you chose. It’ll give you a chance to relax before the dancing starts. Not only that, it’ll protect you from getting too drunk when the alcohol starts to flow. It could be a good idea to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water too. You don’t want to peak too early!

Take It All In

Take moments whenever you can to take it all in. Look at all of the people who care about you and your partner. They have attended this day to celebrate with you! Take a moment to take a breath and really enjoy yourself. Show gratitude for everything on the day!

Stay Away From Electronics

Your wedding day isn’t a day to be scrolling Facebook or answering the phone. Stay away from electronics and put somebody else in charge if you can. By staying away from things that can disrupt the flow of the day, you’ll feel much better. There will be plenty of time to update everybody and put pictures up when it’s all over. You can almost make your day feel like it isn’t over this way, too!

Release Expectations

It’ll really help you to release expectations on your big day. You can’t control many things on your day. You can’t control babies crying in the church. You can’t control a clumsy guest standing on your dress. Just release the idea of what you think your wedding ‘should’ be like.

Ready to have the best day of your life? Good luck!
